Provincial System Support Program

Working together with partners across sectors, the Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) moves evidence to action to transform the mental health and addictions systems in Ontario. PSSP is located at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and supports CAMH's vision of "Transforming Lives".

Improving systems requires many approaches, and at PSSP, we draw from a number of evidence-based models and practices. We support communities across the province to improve the system of care through Implementation Science, system design, quality improvement and knowledge exchange. PSSP uses the foundational Implementation Science work of the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) to guide our approach to system-level implementation.

PSSP supports system stakeholders by focusing on change management and moving communities through stages of planning, trying, studying and normalizing to make large-scale, sustainable improvements.

Large-scale system improvement requires many steps of moving through understanding, deciding, planning, preparing, testing, refining, maintaining and growing. Moving through all these stages can be challenging and complicated. PSSP is here to help. We are experts at supporting communities achieve all these aspects of implementing a change. We know what approach to apply depending on the change required in the system.

Underlying everything we do is our focus on improving the system of care for clients, their families and their supporters. We approach all our work with a lens to health equity and meaningful system change. PSSP is committed to being a partner that drives social change and transforms lives. Â
